Look Who's Facing Forward!

We have had some super hot days already this summer, and poor Evelyn has been getting out of her car seat absolutely drenched in sweat because my car doesn't have overhead vents for her.  My parents bought us her next step car seat for Christmas last year so we decided to try it out.  One particular little girl was super proud of herself to be sitting facing forward!! 

Fun at the Guardian Angels Festival

Although it was a rainy weekend, there was a break in the weather, so Chris, Emily, and I took Evelyn to the Guardian Angels Church Festival.  It was a completely different experience than last year because she was actually able to play a lot of the games and even ride one of the rides!  It was so amazing to watch her excitement as she played the games and looked at the prizes.

Happy Father's Day and Welcome Baby Ella!!

Like Mother's Day, we split up the weekend so we had more time with family to celebrate dads!  We went to the Field's house on Saturday, and Chris and his dad went fishing.  They didn't catch anything, but they had a good time hanging out together.  We enjoyed a nice brunch with them and had fun celebrating Chris and his dad.  On Sunday, we woke up, and Chris opened gifts from Evelyn and I.  Then we spent the afternoon at the pool at my parents' house.  Evelyn takes a great afternoon nap, so we were able to relax a bit in the sun.  We had lunch with my family and again celebrated Chris and my dad.

Later the day our good friends, Katie and Kam, welcomed their little girl on Father's Day!  Chris and I had to go visit them at the hospital!  Happy Father's Day Kam!

Zac Brown Band at Riverbend!

Chris and I went on another date this week to see the Zac Brown Band at Riverbend with our friends, the Feys.  It was a great night with friends, people watching, and the concert was fantastic!  It's funny to think that Chris didn't even like country when we first met, but now he loves country, and he was the one to suggest that we go to see Zac Brown!  I guess I've worn off on him :)

Reds Game

 

Chris and I went on a date to a Red's Game for TriHealth night at the Reds game while Grandma and Grandpa Field watched Evelyn.  I got to meet several of his co-workers, and we had fun watching the Reds win!

We've been having a lot of rain lately, but we decided to make the best of it and let Evelyn play out in the rain and in the puddle.  She really liked it, and now she wants to wear her rain boots all the time!

Happy Birthday Great-Grandma!

Great-Grandma Wiegand had a candy and Sno Cone party for all of the great-grandchildren for her birthday!  Evenlyn was old enough to join so she sat with all of her cousins and helped Grandma celebrate her birthday!  We had a lot of fun; Happy Birthday Grandma!

While Katie and Jim are at the hospital with Dean, Chris and I are watching the kids off and on to give my parents a break.  We got out Evelyn's baby pool and let the kids play together.  Evelyn loves having her cousins over to play; they are so good to her.

Creamy Whip - A Mt. Washington Tradition

Chris and I used to walk to the Creamy Whip on Sundays to support the local ice cream shop, but things are of course really busy!  We decided to go up for a visit and let Evelyn try some Creamy Whip ice cream for the first time.  I think she liked it!

Pool Day!

My parents have been watching Liliana and Quinn because Katie is schedule to have the baby today!  We decided to help pass the time waiting for him to arrive by swimming at my parents!
