Chris and I have been trying to introduce Evelyn to all of the fun events that happen in Cincinnati during the summer. We've tackled the pool, the Cincinnati Zoo, and the drive-in, and last weekend we decided to take her to first church festival at Guardian Angel. Both Chris and I have fun memories of going to church festivals during the summers, so we were excited to bring our little girl to her first one as well. We enjoyed festival food for dinner, then headed over to the pull tabs where Evelyn must have been good luck because we were big winners and won $1....haha. After our luck ran out with the pull tabs, we headed over the the duck pond where Evelyn "played" her first game by touching the three ducks that she wanted. She won 8 tickets, which we turned in for a small, stuffed lizard. We had a great time, and we are really excited to have started this tradition with her!
Grandma and Grandpa Koumoutsos invited Chris, Evelyn, and I to the St. Thomas More festival with Liliana and Quinn. We met them around dinnertime and enjoyed festival food while we listened to the band. After dinner, I took the kids into the fun house, and Uncle Chris rode the big slides with Liliana and Quinn. To end the night, Grandpa bought the kids some some sno cones! I'm so glad that Evelyn was able to experience one of my favorite summertime memories growing up!
