I'm 2!!

It's hard to believe, but we celebrated Evelyn's 2nd birthday today!  I took the day off work so we could spend the day together celebrating the big 2!

We met my parents downtown at First Watch and had brunch.  Aunt Eileen watches Evelyn during the week, and she sent a gift for Evelyn to open on her birthday!  She loves her Aunt "Leen" so much!  She also opened a few gifts from my parents, including some new sunglasses that she can take on our trip to Naples!

After brunch we headed home so someone could get a great nap in before Daddy came home from work!

When Chris got home we took Evelyn to Toys R Us for the first time!  She was absolutely in awe!  Her favorite part had to be the entire aisle dedicated to Frozen!  She stood there looking at everything and wanting to open it all at the same time.  We used a gift card from Uncle Deno to buy her the perfect talking Elsa doll :)

After our Toys R Us adventure, we picked up Marco's Pizza and headed home for dinner, presents, and birthday cake.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl!

She really liked opening presents this year!
Her favorite thing in the world these days is Nemo, so we thought it would be fun to get her her very own pet fish.  She loved it!  When we asked her the fish's name, she said Evelyn :)

With summer right around the corner we thought it would also be fun to get her a tricycle!
Playing on her tricycle the next day.

A second birthday wouldn't be complete without a Nemo birthday party for Evelyn and her friends!

Grandma and Grandpa bought her a jumpy house so she could play with her friends!
Here is a quick video of some of her friends and Evelyn at her party...

Thank you Papa and Gigi and Grandma and Grandpa for celebrating my second birthday with me!
I love you!
And thank you to all of my friends for coming over to spend the day with me!

Snow Week!

Playing Cotton Ball Soccer!

The week of President's Day was so much fun this year!  I was off of school for the holiday on Monday, but I was also off the entire rest of the week due to snow and extreme cold temperatures!  Evelyn and I had an awesome week learning, playing, and just being together.  This is definitely one of the perks of being a teacher!
Mess-free painting and working on fine motor skills
Getting ready to face cold temperatures and snow!
 Sledding with Daddy!
Taking a break with a little macaroni art!
Needless to say, someone loved snow cream!
Helping Daddy build a snowman like Elsa!
She kept giving him hugs and kisses!
 Our little snow angel!
