Happy Halloween!

We enjoyed Halloween this year because Evelyn was able to walk around with her friend, Adam.  She wore a hand-made costume that my mom made for Liliana 5 years ago!  Quinn wore it as well, so it is fun that Evelyn was able to carry on the tradition!  She didn't quite understand that she had to say Trick or Treat, but she tried her best.  She also felt that she had to eat each piece of candy as soon as she was given it!
Thank you for my Halloween surprise Grandma and Grandpa!  I enjoy this food much better than raw pumpkin!

Checking out toys for her Christmas list with the Toys R Us ad!
Evelyn and Adam getting ready for the big night!
After trick or treating, we went back home and visited with Debbie and Tim.  They were at our house handing out candy while we took Evelyn to some neighbor's houses.

Summer at the Cincinnati Zoo!

This summer has had some really nice weather, so we have had the opportunity to visit the zoo several times.  Since we have a season pass it's been nice to visit for a few hours then head home once it starts getting too crowded.  Here are some pictures from several different visits to the zoo.  It's fun to watch Evelyn look at the animals and point to them.  She also has a tendency of waving at them and telling them good bye!
 Waving to the baby giraffe.
Our cute little "painted dog"  The painted dog exhibit is really nice;
 Walking with Daddy.
These little "babies" are growing up too fast!
Wiped out on the way home!

Fun in July

We have had so much fun this summer.  This post just shows a few of the fun things that have gone on inside the Field household :)

Evelyn has found a new place to hang out....Carter doesn't seem to mind.
She's pretty curious, and one day while she was pulling all of our bath towels out of the cabinet she found a shower cap and wanted to wear it all around the house.
Carter and I hanging out on the front porch while I studied for my Comprehensive Exam.

Supervising Daddy while he put the wagon together.  She was a little too excited to wait until he was finished!
He was so excited when it was finally finished until he realized he had left the handle at his parents' house.  That didn't stop the two of them from going for a ride.  She LOVED it, and needless to say, Chris's back was sore from beding over to push her around the neighborhood!
 I think this is love....
I bought Evelyn a little plastic golf set on a whim, but she really likes playing with it.  She doesn't understand the concept of hitting the ball though, and when I try to help her she looks down where the ball was and wonders where it went!
Chris has been trying to come home for lunch on Wednesdays.  Evelyn really likes it, and one day she and I decided to surprise him with a picnic lunch.  He was thrilled :)
She is determined to feed herself with utensils, and this is the result....

Memorial Day Weekend, a Weekend to Remember!

We started off our Spring/Summer with an AWESOME weekend!!  We could not have asked for more fun with neighbors, friends, and family.

Evelyn has never had a popsicle or fudgesicle, but I found a recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.  All I can say is that it is such a good thing we gave this to her outside...no explanation needed!
Kids always take time to stop and smell the "roses"
 LOVING it!!

 Chocolate kisses for Nick :)
 "Must. get. every. last. drop!"
 There are no words...
On Friday night we had an impromptu bon fire, s'mores and drinks.  With 33 neighbors showing up, I'd say it was a success!!
 We love our neighbors!
On Saturday, we headed up to Chris's family's house for lunch.  It was a gorgeous day, and Evelyn loved exploring the garden and pond with the gold fish!
Grandma and Grandpa have a beautiful fish pond with lots of flowers and vegetables; Evelyn was enjoying it just like the rest of us do each summer :)

Evelyn discovered Grandma and Grandpa's strawberry patch.  She had no need to wash the strawberries, she was eating them faster than I could take the stems off!

This weekend, Chris took some time to wash and wax his car, and Evelyn had to help of course!
We took a break to watch a butterfly.

We ended our three-day weekend with my side of the family at the playground at Lunkin.  We had a picnic lunch, and the kids were able to run around and have fun at the park!
