Celebrating Fat Tuesday

Chris, Evelyn, and I headed out to Graeter's on Fat Tuesday to celebrate Mardi Gras!  She had never had dairy before, so she was in for a big sweet surprise!  If she is anything like her mom, today was the start of a lifetime love affair with ice cream :)

Silly Times in March

Evelyn sure is growing up and making us laugh along the way!  She is learning new things everyday.  It is amazing to almost see the wheels turning as she figures out something new.  This week she has learned how to get on and off of her rocking horse.  

 

 

She has also learned that she can make us laugh as she puts her food in her hair.

Play Date with the Boehs

Way back when, almost six years ago, Jaime and Derek Boeh introduced Chris and I.  Who would have thought that six years later we would both be married with kids?!  The Boeh's invited us over for dinner and a play date with their kids Dominic and Gabrielle.  It was so nice to see them and their new house!!  We love the Boehs and look forward to all of the fun memories ahead!

Happy Birthday, Adam!!

Evelyn was invited to celebrate her friend, Adam's 2nd birthday!  Sara and I have been friends since before we were teenagers.  We have been spending a lot of time together having play dates during the week!  It has been so great to see Sara and watch the kids play together!  Happy Birthday, Adam!!

Out with the Old, in with the Older???

As I've posted earlier, Evelyn is getting pretty tired of the same toys at our house, even though I try to switch them out every few weeks.  My mom watches Evelyn on Fridays sometimes, and this week, she surprised Evelyn by getting out several "new" toys.  My mom saved our toys from the 1980s, cleaned them up, and gave them to Evelyn.  She had a blast with her "new" toys!  Thanks Grandma!

Celebrating Valentine's Day, her last first "holiday"

Valentine's Day was Evelyn's last "first holiday!"  We had fun celebrating with her by having heart-shaped pancakes in the morning, playing with her walker and opening a few gifts in the afternoon.

 We had so many Valentine's Day clothes for her that we had to do some wardrobe changes.

February Fun at Home

We've been struggling to keep Evelyn from getting cabin fever during this freezing winter, so we decided to let her try some new things around the house.

 Who knew the dishwasher was for more than just cleaning dishes?!

 

 We decided to get out some Christmas toys that we hadn't opened yet.  I don't know who had more fun chasing this toy kitten from Uncle Greg around the kitchen , Carter or Evelyn!

 Getting bored with the same toys day in and day out, so we decided to bring out her jumper again, and she loved it just as much as she did several months ago!
