My grandma took a fall a few months ago and has been staying in a rehab facility. To help try to cheer her up, Katie and I planned to color Easter eggs at her center. Our families met in the Ice Cream parlor there and had fun coloring eggs. Liliana and Quinn were really into it this year, taking their time and decorating with the dye and markers. My grandma liked to put the stickers on once the eggs were dry. Evelyn liked holding the eggs while she sat on the floor :)

Lots of Learning Caught on Camera :)
She is learning so many new things every day!!
She knows where her hair is and can point to it!
She knows that you talk into a phone and is mimicking us with her toy phone!
I apologize for the bathtub videos, but it's the only time I can catch her sitting still long enough to repeat words that she can say!
Finally caught her saying "Bubble" on camera!
Ever since vacation where Grandma and Grandpa Field taught her to feed the ducks, she has been saying "duck". While we were practicing other words, I got her to say it for the camera!
Verbally, she is picking up words so quickly!! Other words include:
"bup" for cup
"Hi"
"Hi Dad"
"Dada"
"Mama"
"du" for dog
She also repeats two syllables of sounds when we say Carter

Water Table Play Date with Ben
To top off an already perfect, spring weekend, we had our friends, Tim and Anne, over on Sunday to have a play date with Evelyn's water table and a grill out for lunch. I think Ben loved the water table as much as Evelyn! We can't wait for all of the fun summer memories ahead!

First Ride of the Season!
Chris and I wanted to spend as much time outside as possible because this weekend was absolutely gorgeous! We decided to use our bike cart for Evelyn, and the three of us went on a 15 mile bike ride on the Loveland Bike Trail.
Water: check, Snack Cup: check, Mickey: check I think she's ready to go!
It was such a beautiful day, and we enjoyed all of the sunshine and nature on the ride.
Halfway through the ride we stopped for a picnic lunch.
She did so great on her first of many bike rides!
Our Little Tumble Tot
Our friend, Emily, and her 18 month old, Kenzie, invited us to take Evelyn to a Tumble Tot class with them at the HealthPlex. We decided to give it a try on Saturday.
We think Evelyn had fun at the Tumble Tot class, but we are going to wait to enroll her until she is able to walk well and can better listen to directions from the teacher :)

Animated Dinner Conversation
Chris swears that even though she looks like his twin, socially, she is just like me. This little girl loves to talk!! This video gives you an idea of our dinner conversations with her...
Visiting Great-Grandma
We've been spending time visiting my Grandma in an assisted living home while she receives some physical therapy. All of the residents like to wave to Evelyn when we arrive, and Great-Grandma is always excited to see her smiling little face! At our last visit we brought bubbles; so we took Great-Grandma outside and had her play with bubbles with Evelyn. Then we came inside and had ice cream together!
Evelyn loves ice cream sandwiches just like Great-Grandma!
