January Fun Around the House!

We had such a fun January with Evelyn.  Everyday is full of personality and surprises!
She loves playing "horsie" with Daddy and walking all around the house.  She also likes making funny faces!

This Princess Sophia poster came with a Sophia the First book, and she now has it hanging on her closet door in her bedroom.  I feel like I should save it and remind her this was the first item she wanted to have hang in her room; I'm sure there will be more where this came from!
Little Miss Helper has to carry her own things to and from the car and the babysitter each day.  She proudly says, "I do it, Mommy."  This will be nice once the baby arrives, so I'm not complaining!
We had some really nice days in January where we were able to go to the park and get some energy out.  Although she still loves the swings like last summer, this summer she has decided that slides are pretty fun too!  She gets a little nervous when she goes too fast, but I think that will change quickly!

My 31st Birthday

My 31st birthday was definitely different this year!  I celebrated with 25 new kids in my class, and I celebrated being about 4 months pregnant :)  Chris and Evelyn decorated the house for me, and we spent the evening opening gifts together with the help of Evelyn.
That weekend, we met up with friends and their kids at Anderson Bar and Grille for dinner.  It was fun getting together with everyone to celebrate!  It's going to be an exciting year!

Merry Christmas 2015!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating the Christmas season with Evelyn.  It all began with her receiving a special visit from St. Nick.  He brought her a Little People Nativity Set.  She loves making the angel sing over the manger scene.  It is a beautiful thing to watch her talk to baby Jesus.
Next, we made a trip to Home Depot to pick out our Christmas tree.  She looked so small next to all of the trees.  It was so cute watching her "help" Chris with the tree.

Next on our Christmas stop was joining Mr. and Mrs. Field at the Festival of Lights.  It was a misty evening, but that helped keep the crowds away!  We enjoyed seeing all of the lights and listening to the Christmas music.  Evelyn had a great time too, but someone still doesn't care for Santa Claus...
Growing up Chris and I remember our parents taking us to see an animated elf collection downtown.  Several years ago someone bought them and restored all of the elves.  While Alex and Amanda were in town we decided to check it out!  Afterall, we had to show his NEW FIANCE one of our old Christmas traditions!  Congratulations Alex and Amanda, we are so excited for you :)

The holidays are some of the best times of the year!  We love spending time with each other and our families.  We celebrated Christmas with the Field side of the family.  Evelyn loved seeing all of her second cousins.  The girls are so cute with her and played with her all afternoon.
Spending time with Papa and Gigi before the Field side of the family comes over.
On Christmas Eve day, we went over to my parents' house to celebrate Christmas with my parents, Katie, Jim and their kids.  It was so fun to see the three older kids so excited about Christmas!  Dean will be ready to join them next year!
 Helping Dean open some gifts.
Having sweet dreams of Christmas day ahead!

We tried to get a still picture of her with the Christmas tree and in front of the gifts, but she was so excited she wouldn't sit down!  She immediately unwrapped her new kitchen from Santa and started "cooking!"

Chris loved the medal holder plaque that Evelyn and I bought for him!  It has a quote from his favorite runner, Steve Prefontaine.
Evelyn loved helping Uncle Greg open his gifts, and I think that he enjoyed helping and watching her open hers!  I think her Minnie Mouse dress-ups and her Easel were her favorites!

Slow Motion Flips!

My sister and Jim have let us borrow a giant jumpy ring for Evelyn.  At first, she wasn't too sure about it or even what to do with it, but Chris helped her figure it out pretty quickly!  Now she asks to jump all the time.  She even puts her stuffed animals in it to jump too.  Check out the slow motion video below!

Happy Thanksgiving!

 Celebrating Thanksgiving with cousins!
I love my beautiful goddaughter :)
Celebrating October and November birthdays!
Our beautiful little girl at Papa and Gigi's house with Uncle Greg.
It has become a tradition for Chris and I to go see Mt. Washington light up the tower the weekend after Thanksgiving.  This year Katie, Jim and their kids as well as my mom and dad joined us.  Evelyn loved meeting Elsa from Frozen :)
