Happy Birthday America!

Days of rain didn't keep us from celebrating Evelyn's first Fourth of July!  Evelyn, Chris and I went to my parents' house for their annual Fourth of July party.  We weren't too sure how many friends and neighbors would be able to come, but despite the rain, the crowds came, and we all had a great time enjoying, food, friends, and of course fireworks!  Evelyn made it through the evening with many smiles while she met so many new friends and neighbors.  All of the excitement wiped her out, and she didn't quite make it through the fireworks; there's always next year!  Thanks, Mom and Dad, for throwing a great party yet again!

 

 Liliana is certainly growing up!  She is absolutely adorable when it comes to Baby Evelyn.  Liliana is always the first to say hello to Evelyn, to give her gentle hugs, and lots of kisses.  She holds her, plays with her, and talks to her every time she is with Evelyn.  As you can see from the pictures above, this Fourth of July was no exception!  Liliana is precious, and Evelyn is so lucky to have such a sweet cousin :)

 

 

 Chris and I were so excited to spend time with our friends, Heather, Colby and their three children.  Colby and Heather were visiting from Georgia, and we were finally able to have their 8 month old daughter, Molly, meet Evelyn!  Hopefully some time in the future these two little girls will live closer and become lifelong friends just as their mommies are!

I was trying to explain to both Liliana and Nicole that Evelyn is also Nicole's cousin....not sure they quite understood, but they were both pretty excited to tell people that all three of them were cousins :)
