Happy Birthday Annabelle!

Evelyn was invited to her first friend's birthday party two weekends ago.  Jill and I were college roommates at Xavier.  It has been fun to stay friends and watch as we've both been married and started families.  Her little girl, Annabelle, turned 2, and to celebrate Jill and her husband, Troy, had a birthday party with friends and family at their new house!  It was fun to see all of our friends from Xavier and their new little families as well.  We tried to get some of the kids together for some pictures; I think this is the start of some fun pictures over the next several years!  Happy Birthday, Annabelle, and thank you for sharing your day with us!

Evelyn and her buddy, Quint :)  Quint is about 3 weeks older than Evelyn; it was fun to be pregnant at the same time as Erin so we could share the fun times and not so fun times of pregnancy!

Kenzie Fey joined in the pictures!
Evelyn took a break from pictures to sit with Katie :)

Annabelle, the birthday girl, wanted to hold the babies!

Happy First Father's Day to Chris!

This Father's Day was extra special for Chris being the first time he was able to celebrate being a dad!  We had a great weekend swimming at my parents' house, going to the Drive-In, and ending the weekend with a perfect day for Father's Day.  Chris enjoyed blueberry scones and eggs for breakfast, courtesy of Evelyn and I.  Next he spent time at our house opening gifts from his girls.  He has been into the great outdoors lately; so the theme of his day was Summer!

Chris opened a camping stove so he can make us dinner when we go camping, a hiking stick for when he is carrying Evelyn through the trails, a bike rack so we can take her to the bike trail using her little bike trailer, and some kettle corn and dark chocolate!
After gifts, we headed to Chris's parents' house to celebrate with Father's Day with Grandpa Field!  As always, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch and then opened gifts while watching the Reds game.
After lunch, we drove to my parents' house to celebrate with Grandpa Koumoutsos.  Despite a little sprinkle, Liliana and Quinn enjoyed the pool, while my dad grilled hamburgers and hot dogs.  We opened gifts and had some Father's Day cookie cake.
Happy Father's Day to Grandpa Field, Grandpa Koumoutsos, Uncle Jim, and a very special Happy 1st Father's Day to Chris.  You are more than I could ask for in a husband and dad to our little girl!  She is one lucky girl!  We love you very much :)

Evelyn gets a taste of my childhood...

Having grown up in Amelia, there was one summer tradition that I was excited for Evelyn to experience, The Starlite Drive-In!  Thinking she would sleep soundly in her pumpkin seat during a movie, Chris and I had the not-so-wonderful idea of taking Evelyn to see Man of Steel, the new Superman movie over Father's Day weekend.  For those of you that know Chris and I well, you would be proud to hear that we arrived an hour and a half early to the movie because we knew it would be crowded.  We had fun showing her around...as much as you can show a 3 month old, and we took pictures of her at her first Drive-In experience.  All was going well, but as it grew closer to her bedtime, it became pretty clear that she was not going to be able to sleep.  Needless to say I spend 3/4 of the movie sitting in the car with her trying to get her to fall asleep.  Finally, at 11:00, three hours past her bedtime, she fell asleep.  In anticipation of the crankiness ahead of us the next day, we didn't stay for the second feature!  Although we wouldn't do it again at this age, we enjoyed the night, and it marked a fun memory for Chris's first Father's Day weekend!

Our Little Fish

Lately Evelyn has been loving bath time.  She loves to watch the water as it falls from the faucet; she kicks her little feet and has started chewing on her bath toys.  Grandma and Grandpa Field gave Evelyn the perfect gift to help her celebrate summer, her own baby pool!  I decided with the weather well into the 80s the water would heat up rather quickly, and Evelyn would enjoy it.  While Chris was working, I set up the pool and filled it with a little water.  By the time he came home, it was warm, and Evelyn was already in her little bathing suit.  Pictures of her first "swim" are posted, but I think the video says it all!

Evelyn's first dip into the "big" blue :)

Great-Grandma Wiegand's 91st Birthday!

Not only was June 10th Evelyn's three-month birthday, but it was also her Great-Grandma Wiegand's 91st birthday as well!  Chris, Evelyn and I drove to Edgewood, KY after work to celebrate with Grandma.  When we arrived, Grandma had set up her whole kitchen with birthday treats for all of her great-grandchildren.  She had plates of cookies, candy, and even a Sno Cone machine!  Of course Evelyn couldn't enjoy all of the snacks, but she loved looking at the large bouquet of balloons that our cousins had bought for Grandma.  Happy Birthday Great-Grandma!  Thank you for sharing your special day with us!

Little E is Three Months!

It's hard to believe, but Little Evelyn is already 3 months!
We took advantage of a gorgeous day in Cincinnati and headed to Ault Park with our friend, Sara, who took Evelyn's Newborn pictures for us.  We spent a few hours capturing our beautiful little girl enjoying all of the flowers and sunshine that the park had to offer.  I apologize for the large amount of pictures posted, but we couldn't choose any favorites!  Enjoy those big blue eyes!

Daddy's Little Mini-Me!

From the day she was born 99% of friends and family see the resemblance of Chris when they look at Evelyn.  Last week while visiting his parents, I was looking at some pictures of Chris when he was little.  I came across the one below of Chris and his Grandma Field.  I couldn't believe how much he and Evelyn look alike as babies!  I had to share!
